WTB Solicitors is delighted to announce the promotion of two solicitors to its partnership. Leonie
Harris and Jonathan Starr will join existing partners Elena Waddell, Ben Taylor and Chris Bryan, to
expand the management team of this South Manchester firm specialising in legal aid work.
Leonie Harris is a specialist child care solicitor, and member of the Law Society Children Panel,
dealing almost exclusively with cases involving children in care proceedings.
Leonie said: “Having joined WTB solicitors four years ago I was immediately impressed by the firms
commitment to legal aid and the ethos of the partners. I am proud to now have the opportunity to
help build on the firm’s success and look forward to developing the firm into the future.”
Jonathan Starr has extensive experience in legal aid housing work, regularly representing clients in
cases involving possession proceedings, homelessness, and unlawful eviction, often as a court duty
solicitor. He has been awarded Higher Rights of Audience.
He said about his appointment: ‘It is an honour and a privilege to be invited to join the partnership
and I look forward to playing a greater part in the running of firm over the years to come’
Managing Partner, Chris Bryan, said “We are very excited to welcome Leonie and Jonathon as
partners. They are both invaluable members of the firm, showing dedication to their clients and
building real expertise in their fields of law. We are lucky to have talented young solicitors like these
who are committed to continue providing a legal aid service, when so many firms have ceased to do
so. Leonie and Jonathan will bring a new energy and vision to the partnership, and will play a key
role in driving the firm’s social mission.”
