Experience

Shabana has a wide range of experience in all aspects of immigration, nationality and asylum law.  Shabana qualified as a Solicitor in 2004 at the Rochdale Law Centre and has spent the majority of her career working in the not-for-profit legal sector undertaking wok funded by Legal Aid and other pro bono work funded by other charities such as the British Red Cross and the National Lottery.  Shabana continues to undertake immigration and asylum work funded by the Legal Aid scheme at WTB.

Shabana is accredited by the Law Society under the Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme as a Level 2 Senior Caseworker and Supervisor and is DBS Enhanced; these qualifications enable her to represent vulnerable clients such as victims of torture, rape, PTSD and unaccompanied asylum seeking children, victims of domestic violence and victims of trafficking.
